Processing of astronomical images is highly subjective. All of my images are processed on calibrated monitors. To ensure you see what I see it is desirable that your monitor is correctly calibrated. You should adjust the brightness and contrast on your monitor so that all of the shades of grey in the strip below are distinguishable from its neighbours.
